The movie is a remake of its old version in which the Tamil superstar Rajini acted. In the latest version the movie is remade with Ajith as lead actor and Nayantara as the heroine of the movie. Noted actors like Prabhu, Santhanam, Namitha and so on have showed their faces in the movie. The movie was directed by Vishnuvardhan. The prequel of the movie is expected to be made by the same actor in the lead role. The music to the movie was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and it was a hit.
