Bible tops the list of best selling books for all times. Since it was written over a billion copies of the Bible has been sold out in different languages. There are two statistics available on sales of the Bible. One source says that 2.5 billion copies have been sold and the other claim that 6 billion have been sold. By both the sources the Bible is the highest sold book in the world. The Quran comes next in the list. Around 800 million copies of the book has been sold. Another book that is equally sold to that of the Quran is the book on Quotations from Chairman Mao (the little Red Book). 800-900 million books have been sold so far. The above mentioned books are called as single volume books. In another category for the best selling book series Harry Potter tops the chart. It is reported that more than 400 million books have been sold for the seven main books alone. The works from Mao Zedong is the next in the list with a little over 325 million copies sold. Goosebumps and Perry Mason are the other best selling books in the list with over 300 million copies sold each. Berenstain Bears(260 million), Choose Your Own Adventure (250) and Sweet Valley High (250) are the other books that are at the top of the list. For more information on this click here.
